“The King will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.’” [Matthew 25:40 NIV]
We believe the primary reason we are in Kenya is to share God’s love with the Maasai people. Weekly men's and women’s bible studies, discipling through work, and supporting local pastors are a few ways we actively share the Gospel. Living daily life in community also allows us to build relationships that will one day lead to faith in Jesus Christ.
Our Community Water Project (CWP) provides access to clean water for families within walking distance to Kijani Farm. We also deliver water to the elderly and people with disabilities every Thursday. Kijani Farm’s bore hole produces 24,000 liters of water an hour, so there’s plenty to share!
Hire 2 Disciple is a training program that recruits young adults to learn marketable skills. We currently train in construction, welding, and hospitality with hopes for more opportunities in the future. Daily discipleship is incorporated with work and a cup of chai (tea).
Developing early child education is currently being done through three preschools, feeding programs, and literacy programs. Kijani Farm has future plans to build a “hybrid” secondary school (high school).
Students that have worked hard and scored well in seconday school are sponsored by generous donors in order to attend university and achieve their dreams. We currently have six students in this program and are looking forward to helping more in our community.
Until we develop a permanent health clinic, we care for the health needs of the community through short-term medical teams and transportation to Kenyan hospitals.
